Space Rock Surprise

Just-discovered asteroid will slip between earth and our highest satellites on June 27th and be flung into a new orbit.  More than a thousand being tracked but this one must be on an eccentric trajectory.  Link June 23 to  http://www.spaceweather.com/     Expect a close pass like this every six years or so.
I think we could handle the redirect of a large asteroid nowadays.
