Strategy Page - Iranian insights

Ahmadinejad appears to be on his way out, not because he sees the second coming of the Mahdi or calls for the destruction of Israel but because he tackled the ruling clergy for corruption.  Sanctions have made it hard for Iranian airliners to refuel when abroad.   Weapons are supplied below cost in Afghanistan and Iraq as long as they are used promptly against Americans.  Most military exercises are performances for reporters.
