Iran stopped funding Hamas and tells Syria to try negotiating with its own people

Iran has been funding Hamas to the south of Israel and Hezbollah to the north.  They have now cut off Hamas because Hamas is largely Sunni and supports the largely Sunni protests in Syria.  They also changed their tune on Syria in the last week, calling on Assad to negotiate with rebellious citizens.  Despite having sent snipers, jamming tools and support,  they think the country is too far gone to use Iranian social control techniques.  Strategy Page.
