Costa Concordia coming upright. $35 per pound to move the ruined shell. Update: It worked

For the price per pound  of high end steak, the degraded shell of the Costa Concordia will be tipped upright Monday in Greece.  This is a bit more than it cost to build the entire vessel brand spanking new.  Somewhere money is being spent for political reasons, not economic ones.   The operation is fascinating and I wish it success.  The Daily Mail's photograph of the scene is dramatic and the link includes an animation of "parbuckling".

Update:  It worked.  See story and video too at link,.
