In which I learn Stephen Harper was elected by the drivers who get me mad.

"I can't understand how 85% of the people voted for Harper," says my Thanksgiving dinner companion.  When I spoke up to say, "I did, I'm proud of it, and no regrets", the conversation shifted promptly to other controversial but safer ground.  We discussed the unforgivable people who don't use turn signals to turn or change lanes and who drive right through stop signs. Passions ran high and we were of one mind.   Afterwards, I told my new friend that I'd blog this.  Instead of backing down he added with conviction but a grin that the 85% of people who never use turn signals or stop at stop signs are the same people who voted Harper in.
