The Obamacare entry crash will be a generational marker like Kent State or Woodstock.

Short term bickering about who won and lost in Washington will be overshadowed in time by the months long train crash of Obamacare.   Young folk are finding money they don't have will be transferred to old folk they don't know. They are balking at that and Obamacare will go broke.  The opening night software crash makes this the stuff of legend.   The love affair between younger Americans and a government that plays Daddy and Mommy to its favourite groups of children will come off the rails. The word "Obamacare" will mark this in their lives and in the history books too.

I think a party that wins the youth who soured on Big Government will be the engine for the next reshaping of American Politics.  My take is that a third party is most likely to catch the current because neither Democrats or Republicans have an inspiring policy engine. Add a little populism to that.  Hello Sarah Palin and friends.

UPDATE: Professor Jost, an Obamacare supporter, is quoted at the Huffington Post : "If the whole thing collapses, it'll be another generation before we get this problem fixed."
