Mass killer, Lanza, taking Fanapt. Updated: Or Not.

(Good story but see second update below)
Psychiatric side effects of the drug Fanapt:

"Restlessness, aggression, and delusion have been reported frequently. Hostility, decreased libido, paranoia, anorgasmia, confusional state, mania, catatonia, mood swings, panic attack, obsessive-compulsive disorder, bulimia nervosa, delirium, polydipsia psychogenic, impulse-control disorder, and major depression have been reported infrequently".    (The information is quoted from the professional section of the fanapt summary at drugs.com)
Reported at businessinsider.com . The Fanapt information is attributed to Adam's uncle. Being widely reported in the last 24 hours doesn't mean it's completely true.

And this:
In mass shootings, the usage of pharmaceutical drugs, particularly psychotropic drugs, is one of the first things that should be examined. James Holmes was hooked on a cocktail of Big Pharma drugs that have been found to be deadlier than cocaine and heroin combined (even at ‘safe’ levels). [ed: the previous sentence is demagoguery, not reporting]  ...Columbine shooters Eric Harris and Dylan Klebold, as well as 15-year-old Kip Kinkel, were all on psychotropic drugs. Even Ted Kaczinski the “Unabomber”, Michael McDermott, John Hinckley, Jr., Byran Uyesugi, Mark David Chapman and Charles Carl Roberts IV, the Amish school killer, were all on some form of SSRI psychotropic pharmaceutical drugs.
From "Natural Society"  which seems to be a bit of a tin hat brigade but the listed specifics can be checked without buying into 'Big Pharma' anger.

What do you think?   Did Adam Lanza ask for Fanapt or did professionals and guardians pressure him?  The cute kid in the picture is no killer but he illustrates the point.

See this update: Police have not found evidence he was medicated.
The uncle report was a hoax. 'Ex-con claimed to be uncle'
But the psychiatric medication angle may be completely true.  See update Jan 6th.
