US Post Office Pension Reform

"The post office said it has informed the Office of Personnel Management that the $115 million retirement payment made every two weeks will be suspended effective Friday. The action is expected to free about $800 million in the current fiscal year."     (September is year end:  Ed.)
Update:  A little more complicated but problem is immense.
"In its Wednesday release, USPS said that its $115 million payment every other week for FERS will be suspended on June 24, and that it had overpaid into the program by almost $7 billion. Anthony Vegliante, USPS chief of human resources, added that it would continue to pay into the Thrift Savings Plan, another retirement initiative. "
