Rare earth bottleneck busted

Rare earths are critical in high tech electronics, batteries, magnets.
Added:  Not quite so fast:  "The truth of the matter is, nobody's going to mine in the deep sea—even if somebody massively funds this—for a minimum of a decade," he says. The startup cost could run from $1 to $2 billion.
