It works on mice. "Scientists find stem cells that tell hair it's time to grow."
Molecular signals from these fatty stem cells were necessary to spur cell growth in mice.
"If we can get these fat (stem) cells in the skin to talk to the dormant stem cells at the base of hair follicles, we might be able to get hair to grow again," said Yale researcher, Valerie Horsley.
