It's not just Apple/Amazon/Facebook/Twitter/Google/YouTube vs The U.S. government that struggle for the upper hand in consumer media or far more likely for an accomodation with lots of money involved. In China, Jack Ma and more are being ordered to defer to the CCP. Moscow wants "pliable domestic entities" like Yandex, VK and Sber to replace the outsize US versions.
