It's noteworthy that viral and "all other causes" are seasonal while most are not.
Both cancer and heart and "all other causes" appear to decline, perhaps in response to Covid decisions. he trendline to increased deaths for all causes, when smoothed, has been rising for a decade.
Make sense of that!
Edgy stories from the life insurance industry are pointing to the sharp rise in deaths from causes that may be linked to clotting and vaccination but the trendline predates Wuhan flu.
Below is another chart showing how the Wuhan flu's successors outcompeted the original strains AND influenza A too. And a third chart, also from Ruechel's site, showing how successive Wuhan strains don't just prosper, they completely wipe out the older competitors.
