Egypt vets citizenship of presidential candidate, US not so much. Updated.

Popular Islamist candidate Hazem Salah Abu Ismail has been disqualified over his mother's U.S. citizenship. With surprising diligence, the US State Department has provided Egypt with copies of the citizenship and the application for citizenship.  By contrast, a mother with US citizenship was what current president Obama had going for him.  Story from McClatchey:  Egypt's former spy chief runs for president, Islamist candidate excluded.
The insiders' cocoon shepherded his talent to talk big and tough from Chicago to Washington. The story is less about Obama's (PBUH) birth certificate than the elite's view that looking legal is the janitor's job.

Truth is a little more complicated.  New story April 14th, the Muslim Brotherhood candidate and the former spy chief, Suleiman, have also been disqualified.
