Blood from scratch

The dedicated stem cell that makes all the ingredients of blood from scratch has been found.  (Story yesterday in Science, reported here).  In the lab they streamed millions of blood cells past a sorter and looked for a stem cell in the likeliest bin. (“Pluripotent” posted yesterday shows stem cells can be talked into becoming any tissue but each one has a specialty).
