Nested bacteria live inside the striped mealybug and all three have had their genes sequenced. Tremblaya is nested inside Moranella and both have deleted some of their own genes and are borrowing food product from each other. It looks like the Mealybug has made a deal with these "symbionts" too. Specialization and trading of product may be the norm between larger creatures and the small ones that live within them.
