"60% of Canadians are socialists"

BT regular, "oldwhiteguy", made this provocative comment, but is it baked-in or an opportunistic response to easy access to OPM - Other People's Money?   The staggered booms and busts of predator and prey  (e.g.  lynx and rabbits) offer me insight.  When we run out of OPM, sound money and government comes in for a time  - until the food supply increases enough for another round of socialism. The impulse and command to help our neighbour is good but let's supply it from what we have, not from government borrowing and printing follies.
