SCOTUS: "You rubes are responsible".

Obamacare is a tax at the pleasure of Congress to be collected by its IRS.  Congress serves at the pleasure of the electorate. It's not the Supreme Court's job to fix what the voters and their representatives won't fix.

“Members of this court are vested with the authority to interpret the law; we possess neither the expertise nor the prerogative to make policy judgments,” wrote Chief Justice John Roberts . “Those decisions are entrusted to our nation’s elected leaders, who can be thrown out of office if the people disagree with them. It’s not our job to protect the people from the consequences of their political choices.”

"It’s not our job to protect the people from the consequences of their political choices.”

Half of America and probably over half of Canada think the US president is doing a good job and deserves more time in office.

Added:  Note the strong words, "leaders ..can be thrown out of office" and this observation from Gensert at The American Thinker:     "When the Supreme Court declared the mandate a tax, it was in reality calling Barack Obama a liar -- not only for emphatically claiming that the mandate was not a tax when trying to convince citizens to back the legislation, but also for promising that his administration would never raise taxes on the middle class".
