Gendering: Status signaling for people who don't need to procreate to prosper.

My view is that gendering is status signaling for people who don’t need to procreate.  Who needs to have children when we can get ahead without family and those who do have kids can expect them all to survive?  Gendering displays advance the individual's status and influence in their social eco-niche but not in their original family.  But that doesn't matter because it's not about kids.  I’m not addressing traditional same-sex sex but am speaking to the useful fripperies of gendering for which there is no alphabet big enough.

Evidence of the alphabet:
"Previously, the queer community had a disjointed identity and was referred to as the “gay” community. The abbreviation LGBT itself evolved. It is now disrespectful to refer to the community only as the LGBT community. It is appropriate to use the abbreviation LGBTQIA+ or LGBTQIAP+ to be more inclusive of all identities within the community. The community has also now evolved to be more accepting of a variety of gender and sexual ‘minorities’ that failed to find a place before."
To illustrate what I mean:
Both birds are male but the fanciest one invests in over-the-top display to attract the attention it values. Such birds occupy very small niches where this pays off for them.   The alphabet genders have small niches that work well for them.

The quieter one actually sits on a nest and shares duties hatching the babies.  You see a lot of robins because this works well and supplies lots of baby robins to populate future lawns and forests.

Male and Female at birth: Gender may be fluid but sex is not. What percent of the population have oddball X and Y chromosomes?

This report on 170,000 people shows seventeen unusual variations on the standard XX (female) and XY (male) but the exceptions are only 6 people out of every ten thousand.    Gender may be fluid  but sex is not.

The first column in the chart is what I'm addressing.   141,813 out of 141,916 women were XX and 29,320 out of 29,336 men were XY.   Every cell in female or male body has the same XX or XY markers.  All talk of gender fluidity is about something different.

Bonus thought:  Sex differentiation in other species including plants and insects may involve XX/XY but may involve a different pair of genes with the male having the matched pair the the female having the unmatched pair.  And other possiblities too.

Incredible 4000 year old mummies in east China desert, buried in boats!

This dessicated beauty could have been someone you loved.

Her mummy is four thousand years old and the detail stuns.   Her Eurasian people lived in eastern China's desert in the Tarim basin on forgotten trade routes.  They were a genetically tight group that has almost disappeared from the human genome.  Several cemeteries are known and the bodies are buried in boats!

Trump gives vapors to the woke with 13 words in WSJ letter to the editor.

Who knew writing a letter to the editor was a crime?   The disturbance in the narrative is directed at cancelling the Wall Street Journal for publishing a letter of opinion from Citizen Trump rather than addressing the listed statements for truth.  Thirteen little words from Trump in the WSJ gave vapors to the woke.   The rest of his 570 word letter to the editor of the Wall Street Journal is a determinative and damnable review of 20 red flags from the 2020 election in Pennsylvania.

What were those little words? He gave his actual opinion in the opinion section of the newspaper: "Well actually, the election was rigged, which you, unfortunately, still haven’t figured out."   If you care for substance, you will read the unpaywalled October 27th WSJ letter from Donald Trump.

Remember the Mummy Mummy jokes?

I haven't heard one for fifty years but they were popular when I was in high school.

Mummy Mummy, I don't want to go to Europe.
Shut up and keep swimming.

Mummy,Mummy, my braids are too tight.
(Pulls the corner of her eyes out "chinese" style to illustrate).

Mummy Mummy, I don't want to see Grandpa.
Shut up and keep digging.

The mother mother lode, however, is here and some are plenty sick.

Can I lick the bowl? Shut up and flush.
Are you sure this is the way to make ginger bread men? Shut up and get back in the oven

And so on.
And during the polio epidemic in Canada in the fifties there were Iron Lung jokes too.

A boy goes into a pawn shop
A boy goes into a pawn shop with the motor for an iron lung.
the pawn shop owner asks "where did you get this?"
the boy replies "from my father"
the pawn shop owner asks "what did he say when you took it?"
the boy replies: "AAAAUUUUGHHHH"

What do you say when they call you an anti-vaxxer?

No., I'm not an anti-vaxxer  but since we're getting personal, I haven't tried anal either.  Have you?
Also,
I've had lots of vaccines but I'm not ready for this one.  The approvals were rushed, it's still a genetic experiment, and adverse reacdtions include more deaths than it took to cancel past drug tests on people.

Virginia Governorship campaign: "Akin to two lovers debating"

Although it's a big deal to political brokers in the US who wins Tuesday's spot as Governor of Virginia,  at bottom not so much.  Lots of the Washington DC crowd call VA home.and Republican and Democrat pols share an outlook that upstate voters do not.

The Virginia Governor’s race is akin to two lovers debating whether Mercedes or BMW will be their next SUV

Coal ash and lemon juice may supply enough rare earths to free America from China for Rare Earths

Coal ash is suddenly looking good.  Rare earths (95% coming from China these days) can be extracted from ash without using toxic inputs.  There's abundant coal ash which could be de-toxified with the new process.  C02 is considered a waste product too and would be consumed.

Using food-grade citric acid as the carrier and modified carbon dioxide,

"in less than a day, at 158 degrees Fahrenheit (70 degrees Celsius) and 1,100 pounds per square inch pressure (about 70 times ordinary atmospheric pressure), the method extracted 42% of rare-earth metals present in coal waste samples."

Making sense of life with a Theory of Everything:

Each of us has a "Black Box" where everything important we don't understand is put.   Our "Theory of Everything" makes sense of life and for most of us it is our religion.   If all the wild loose ends of life and death and the unknown can be fenced or boxed into one word or belief, we can get on with our daily business.   The kicker is the value we put on the black box.    Do we give it a spin that there is a future with a better life beyond this one, that we can treat others as we wish they would treat us,  or that mankind is ever improving and smarter?  Do we see nihilism and justification to put ourselves always first?

Life is too short and we are too puny, however connected we are to the universe to grasp it all.  We have to take a shortcut and that shortcut is to bundle up what we don't understand into a single "Black Box".  For some, the unknown is like the edge of the world, "Here there be dragons" and for others its the promise of redemption, seeing loved ones, having a reason to do good in this life.

A Black Box:  A system whose inputs and outputs can be observed without any knowledge or understanding of its internal workings.   Some of us believe we have revealed knowledge about what lies beyond and others of us do not.

Tech media giants and sovereign governments at war with each other all over the world.

It's not just Apple/Amazon/Facebook/Twitter/Google/YouTube vs  The U.S. government that struggle for the upper hand in consumer media or far more likely for an accomodation with lots of money involved.   In China, Jack Ma and more are being ordered to defer to the CCP.  Moscow wants "pliable domestic entities" like Yandex, VK and Sber to replace the outsize US versions.   The EU has the world's strictest privacy law and big fines, especially for US consumer media.    (Outline from this article at PJ Media).

Who owns BIG DATA?     The media, the military, the political parties, the deep state that persists beyond elections, corporations that pay the bills, the public?    Ownership is still fought over as BIG DATA explodes bigger daily.  We see local news.  The same news is happening all over the world.

BC has no state of emergency. Didn't read about it ending June 30th 2021?

The BC Government declared the Covid-19 State of Emergency ended 11:59 pm June 30th 2021.
You didn't hear about it, did you?   Some of the mandates issued under the protection of the State of Emergency were extended, however.

Mandates are not laws and are issued under cover of such events as a state of emergency.

Hubble Snapshot of 'Molten Ring' Galaxy Prompts New Research

Hubble finds 19 more Einstein rings, created when one giant elliptical galaxy is exactly in front of another one twice as  far away, as predicted by Albert E.  Light from the remote one is warped by the gravity of the forward one to produce a pale ring.

Whack an asteroid and save the world.  NASA is launching a bullet in November at asteroid Dimorphos at 24,000 km/hr as the first actual test diversion of a space rock.  Someday humans will have to do this to survive or at least divert a tragedy.  DART = Double Asteroid Diversion Test.

The Big Bang only goes back to the beginning of the visible universe.  That first second has a lot hidden within it.    No one has been able to factor in what happens with the other 95% of the universe that is defined as dark energy (69%) and dark matter (26%).

Shattner in space.  This has been a fun story for Star Trek fans.  What I like is the Overton Window has moved so less government and more "Enterprise" is welcome.

The possibility of nuclear weapons in standby orbit above us at all times moved closer this week with China's launch of a hypersonic missile that did a full orbit of earth before hitting (near) its target.  US weaponry people are "surprised".

Jupiter's own 'northern lights' triggered by x-rays made the news, being better understood. Astronomic aurora.

Earth took a near miss from a big asteroid that hadn't been detected before.  2021SG came "out of the sun" from the one vector we couldn't get a good fix on.  We spotted it the day after it passed between the moon and earth!  Apparently it was well over 50 meters in diameter  (triple the diameter or about 30 times the mass) of the Chelyabinsk 2013 meteor which smashed a bunch of windows and scared people).

The Hubble orbiting telescope was brought back to life this summer after the original computer in it failed.     The backup components were working and various elements were being released from Safe Mode in July.  This is exciting that such a brilliant tool is saved again.

Atkisson: Three easy ways to tell you are being astroturfed. (Deceived by fake opinion)

Sharyl Atkisson is a gem.  I re-watched her 2015 TED talk on astroturfing, the pervasive "grass-roots" fake news machine.   It's found everywhere, in medical ads and surveys and fact-checks and facebook opinions.   Don't be surprised how much is caught in the net!  Three simple rules to tag most of the fakery and propaganda:

1.   Is the language inflammatory and dismissive?  (debunk, kook, conspiracy, nuts, paranoid, myth, crackpot)
2.   Are the people and organisations being attached instead of the facts they raise?
3.   Is the scepticism aimed at the people calling out wrongdoing instead of the wrongdoers?

Worried about world getting hot? Excess cold is everywhere the top killer, not excess heat.

This chart is from The Lancet showing excess cold events are far more dangerous than excess heat events over time.     Oddly, this same publication now predicts millions of deaths from warming, overlooking its own information.  Wattsupwiththat.com

This is the perfect moment to slip in one of my favorite poems, crafted with such skill by Robert Frost.
Hatred towards the people I admire seems ascendent today.

Some say the world will end in fire,
Some say in ice.
From what I’ve tasted of desire
I hold with those who favor fire.
But if it had to perish twice,
I think I know enough of hate
To say that for destruction ice
Is also great
And would suffice.

Conquest of Mexico was a War of Liberation with Advanced Tech Help From a Foreign Ally

Narrative Shift:   Some 30,000 Mesoamericans liberated Mexico with help from "technologically advanced allies from overseas"(Cortez with about 700 Spaniards).  They "overthrew a bloody death cult (The Aztecs) that had "subjugated its neighbors and rounded up mass civilian prisoners for execution".

A mandate resembles a law but isn't a law.

Information sourced here:
"First, mandates need to be issued by a government agency or an elected official.. Secondly, they will often need a reason to introduce the mandate"

The mandate becomes:

"The authority given to an elected group of people, such as a government, to perform an action or govern a country” and it is "legally enforceable."
"Mandates are often used to deal with emergency situations. They are known for being very fast to implement. This makes them the perfect way to address rapidly changing situations."
"There are a few conditions in which a mandate can be deemed invalid. These will be when:
They fall outside the government’s agency under the legislation. The law will state clearly what things the agencies can and can’t make laws about. For example, the health department can make decisions about a pandemic. But a terrorist attack will be outside of their purview.
The mandate can’t overrule any existing state or federal laws. These laws can also be changed by a legislature.
The mandate can’t override the Constitution. All laws and mandates will need to follow the rules established in the Constitution."

In British Columbia, the mask mandate and now the vaccine passport would have come under the agency of the Ministry of Health but the emergency situation undergirding the mandate has fomrally expired.    BC cancelled the state of health emergency June 30th.   Elements of the Canadian constitution are being overruled.

Almost a Majority of Americans Strongly Disapprove of Biden (Rasmussen daily poll).

This is something new.   We all know that mild disapproval, a little wrinkle of the nose is the politician's lot.  This widespread intense dislike of Biden's presidency is something new.  Rasmussen keeps a rolling 3-day poll of 1500, calling 500 people every day to chart these numbers.  The folk who are really pleased with Joe Biden's presidency are withering away, their numbers eroding, subsiding without apparent let.

More supply chain insight: UPDATE

LA and Long Beach ports are backed up but they are actually handling record levels of throughput.  Mauldin's newsletter has some key charts.   Besides the policy issues messing with supply chains, there is an enormous factor called demand.   The demand is also a policy issue:

"The government sent trillions of dollars of “hot money” directly to consumers and/or businesses. Restaurants, hotels, and airlines were generally off the market, vacations were crimped, so people bought “stuff.” Thus, those ships off the shores of California contain extra goods that both manufacturers and shippers hadn’t planned for."

From Mauldin's letter (free to subscribe) is this chart showing throughput way up and a second chart showing prices up sharply for goods as money is being spent on goods more than services.  Goods fill containers.

UK Data show the vaccinated are just as likely to die as the unvaccinated. Prove me wrong. UPDATE: My son proves me mostly wrong UPDATE TWO: The bigger picture looks bad UPDATE THREE: Now they are hiding their own data.

The UK government document for the week just ended shows that in absolute numbers almost six times more (Correction:  80+ aged )vaccinated people died from Covid-19 complications than unvaccinated did.  Remember, these are people who were vaccinated so they'd be immune, or so we believed at first.  That's a shocker. (No correction.  Still a shocker.)

Less shocking are the rates per 100,000.  The chart on page 15 shows that the vaccinated did much better than the unvaccinated and most of the vaccinated deaths occur within one month of the jab( Correction:  within one month of testing positive, not shocking at all.) going up just a little by the end of the secondmonth (Page 16 chart).  This matches reports elsewhere that the spike protein does most of its damage early on and gradually disappears from the system.  (Correction: the chart doesn't address spike protein since it addresses the generic "tested positive" rather than "got the jab".)

The BBC says last week that 86% of the over 12 population is double or single vaccinated.  Do a little math.  14% of the over 12 population is therefore unvaccinated.  Total deaths linked to Covid-19 last week were 1521(for those (correction:  80 and over )who died within a month of testing positive for Covid-19).  14% of that gives 212 on the assumption that vaccinated and unvaccinated were equally likely to die.  That's the result I get.  The reported number in this chart is 198.  This implies to me that the vaccinated are just as likely to die as the unvaccinated when they take ill. How does that fit with the two right hand columns that show rates per 100,000 are multiple times higher for the unvaccinated? You tell me.  (Correcting to include all age cohorts I get 730 unvaccinated deaths and 2395 vaccinated or partially vaccinated deaths. Redoing the math, 23% of the deaths were in the unvaccinated group, a little higher than the 14% they represent.)

The good news if my math is wrong is that the protected people (who aren't really protected)  are dying at less than one third the rate of the unvaccinated who also catch Covid-19. (Correction: I misinterpreted the chart). The bad news for the unvaccinated is that the risk of death if they catch Covid-19 in late middle age is quite a bit higher than the risk for the vaccinated, even though almost everyone in either group will survive.   (Correction?   I don't think so)

UPDATE:  My son proves me wrong.  (Each of his counter point has weak spots)
"Regarding your analysis:
  • You mistook the bottom line in Table 4 as the sum. It is the 80+ row.
  • The final columns show unvaccinated people are roughly 3-5 times more likely to die. Your math ignores cohort populations. Immediately preceding the tables was an explicit warning "there is a high risk of misinterpretation" for this reason.
  • More vaccinated people dying is consistent and expected because most people are now vaccinated, vaccines do not give full immunity and protection wanes after 6 months. One analysis shows Pfizer dropping from 88% to 74% efficacy after 6 months. The Office for National Statistics estimated in August that 1% of infected people at that time were already second infections.
  • The second chart doesn't provide any evidence about spike proteins. Most people taken into emergency care died in the first 28 days after infection NOT injection. A few stragglers survived into the next month. The columns that do include injection timing information require population context to interpret per above."
UPDATE TWO:
This link analyses the same UK health information but charts it for all weeks this year to the end of July.  Getting this right is life and death.   The vaccinated are not safe and the unvaccinated seem headed towards better outcomes than the vaccinated.   (Two of the charts at the link posted here.)

UPDATE THREE.    The data in the first chart is now being hidden!!!!!   As documented at Dailysceptic.org

It may be too late to join the unvaccinated Covid-19 control group but please spare your children. Pathologist: The spike protein in the vax IS the toxin.

Vaccinated people have damaged tissue.  That's vaccinated people, not only people who caught the Covid-19 flu..     A senior pathologist with a side specialty in immunology gave a talk in August using his own microscope slides.  Dr Ryan Cole examines tissue from hospitalized people and dead people for a living.  He finds multi-tissue inflammations in vaccinated people including lungs, heart membrane, liver and more.   He's worried.   I am too.    Some of the spike protein enters the blood and circulates beyond the deltoid muscle despite intial claims.  Wherever it landed in test animals, the spike itself induced the same secondary pathologies that the whole virus produced.  The spike isn't causing Covid-19 but it's causing the same secondary troubles.  Most people don't die of Covid-19 and most people don't die of secondary induced pathologies.   These secondary diseases (watch for names ending in "itis") are inflammations responding to the foreign spike protein which circulates for about two weeks after the jab.  Our white blood cells are busy attacking us at those sites of inflammation.  These injection-induced auto-immune diseases will be killing some of us and weakening some more.

Doctor Cole has been a pathologist for 17 years and is in the news for "spreading misinformation", a charge which should be a badge of honor these days.   Are organs from vaccinated people generally inflamed right after vaccination are are they not?  That should be the question.    Wherever blood circulates including lungs and brain you have some exposure to the introduced spike protein.

The spike triggers the body to build defences against Covid-19 but the spike itself is a disease-causing toxin.   The injections are an experiment on the whole human race.  In the case of damaged heart cells, these are replaced by scar tissue not new healthy heart cells.   How can we vaccinate the lowest risk group of all, the children, with an experimental gene snippet that will leave some of them at risk for the rest of their life?

"Covid-19" in old Internet Stories is NOT a Proof of Conspiracy. Prove it yourself.

I set search to only the years 2014 to 2019 with the search term "Covid-19".  See the example below.
Then prove to yourself the dates are wrong.  Open a couple stories that have a local angle you can verify.  The first one I opened was dated March 15 2015 and was a schedule for the nose swab clinic last year in town.

You'll find a ton of false-date Covid-19 stories on the internet.   The first  use of the name "Covid-19" was by WHO in a February 11 2020 press release.    I'm betting the back-dated stories (which are clearly 2020 and 2021 stories when opened) are pastes and over-writes to documents first created in an earlier year.

NOT PROOF OF A CONSPIRACY TO RELEASE A KILLER TO SHINK WORLD POPULATION.

Poor US of A, leaderless.

Poor US of A with a doddering and venal president,  a featherweight backup for VP and the aged and slightly gaga Pelosi on third string.

It's refreshing to hear 3 minutes of plain talk about this from "Not The Bee".

OBIT: Colin Powell. "A serious man who found himself allied with unserious people" (Schlichter)

Kurt Schlichter gives perspective on Colin Powell.   Kurt served under him at one time and respected Powell as a military general who was competent and performed adequately but never had to meet a payroll or worry how to pay the rent.

Like many luminaries of the Boomer establishment, Powell provided a certain gravity and dignity to an elite rapidly filling up with young, woke, unaccomplished hacks. Though he was firmly on the side of the woke pronoun people by the end, he was not one of them. He picked up a rifle; they picked a gender. Powell was a serious man who found himself allied with unserious people.

A Chinese De Toqueville Sees America

Wang Huning is the idea man behind the harsh "Common Prosperity" campaign in China but he has a lot to say about modern America which he toured peripatetically visiting 30 cities and 20 universities  in 1989.  He's sort of a modern day Alexis De Toqueville and published his memoir in 1991 as "America Against America".    He's right behind Emperor Xi but avoids the headlines.

A key observation from the linked article:  "Americans are faced with intricate social and cultural problems but tend of think of them as scientific and technological problems".

"In (America Against AMerica), he marvels at homeless encampments in the streets of Washington DC, out-of-control drug crime in poor black neighborhoods in New York and San Francisco, and corporations that seemed to have fused themselves to and taken over responsibilities of government. Eventually, he concludes that America faces an “unstoppable undercurrent of crisis” produced by its societal contradictions, including between rich and poor, white and black, democratic and oligarchic power, egalitarianism and class privilege, individual rights and collective responsibilities, cultural traditions and the solvent of liquid modernity.

But while Americans can, he says, perceive that they are faced with “intricate social and cultural problems,” they “tend to think of them as scientific and technological problems” to be solved separately. This gets them nowhere, he argues, because their problems are in fact all inextricably interlinked and have the same root cause: a radical, nihilistic individualism at the heart of modern American liberalism.

The real cell of society in the United States is the individual,” he finds. This is so because the cell most foundational (per Aristotle) to society, “the family, has disintegrated.” Meanwhile, in the American system, “everything has a dual nature, and the glamour of high commodification abounds. Human flesh, sex, knowledge, politics, power, and law can all become the target of commodification.” This “commodification, in many ways, corrupts society and leads to a number of serious social problems.” In the end, “the American economic system has created human loneliness” as its foremost product, along with spectacular inequality. As a result, “nihilism has become the American way, which is a fatal shock to cultural development and the American spirit.” "

This is part of a longer thought-provoking article at palladiummag.com.  From the heading of that article is this picture showing Wang in the background of high state business and the observation that the troubles he analysed in America have come to China.

Vaccine mandate firings: You are going to lose the best workers. The Pareto Principle

"Twenty percent of the workers in your system of employment deliver eighty percent of the productivity. Yes, 20% of the workforce around you delivers 80% of the result."
If you are a "Doer"  (link to Nurse interview at TheConservativeTreehouse)

You are likely one of the top performers at your job.

You are the person they rely upon.

YOU are the most critical worker in a system that is mostly comprised of less productive people – and that fundamental truth is the important part to remember when you consider the impact of non compliance with the vaccine mandate.

If doers do not perform their function, it is not the same as the generic Sally Smith not showing up to work."

Natural Immunity Has To Trump Spike Protein Vaccine Protection

The Sars-CoV-2 gene that gives us Covid-19 has 29,903 base pairs in its formula.  (NIH)  Clustered pairs code for proteins.   The spike protein from the virus surface is what the vaccines code for. It has 3831 base pairs in its formula.  (NIH)    The spike protein is about 13% of the whole virus.

Our own immune system deals with some of the other protein codes too.  Some form more of the surface of the virus and some are encountered when the virus exposes its innards when reproducing.  Logic says natural and acquired immunity against the whole virus is better than a one-shot defence against a single prominent feature of the virus.

Life expectancy up and death rates down: Only the Spanish flu has broken the trendline in generations.

Disturbing: Ivermectin and Hydroxyyouknowwhat had to be "Cancelled" to permit EUA (Emergency Use Authorization) of Vaccines.

This is so deeply disturbing.
Willful suppression of the efficacy of non-vaccine treatments of Covid-19 is at root a money thing.  Policy was in the way of profit.   The expensive vaccines could not be rushed into service if there were officially recognized treatments for SARS-CoV-2.    The policy was kept and the workaround has been to suppress reports of simpler acceptable helps.  The camp followers adopted the war cry about horse paste and quack medicines but the top people started it.

The surprise (to me) story is buried in this report on a German media whistleblower who works in the ARD empire.  "Anyone who .. demands a multidimensional perspective on the pandemic will reap indignation and scorn".

Footnote:  Why are there some studies that devalue those helps?   The therapeutics arrived too late.  The virus gets a beach-head when breathed in,  later invades vascular endothelium in the circulatory system and is generally being overcome by the body's immune defences by the time the damage to your body is done.  Sadly the vaccine spike protein invades the same tissue as the whole virus and the spikes themselves may trigger killer leukocytes to attack the epithelium.  The viral load is on the decline when people are hospitalized.   The helps are useful at the beach-head.

Experimental Gene Therapy May Be Good Or May Be Bad: Covid-19 is in the news but so is ADA-SCID

I think "Covid-19 vaccine is experimental gene therapy" is a risk factor that needs continued testing and reporting.   Here, however, is a report on one of the first ever gene therapies that ten years later is still saving the lives of some kids.   They were unable to manufacture the adenosine deaminase gene until some healthy copies purified from mice were planted in the kids' own bone marrow.

I don't like "experimental gene therapy" but have an open mind.
What is settled however is this should never ever have been made mandatory for anyone.

"Covid-19 is a blood and blood vessel disease". Read and decide for yourself.

From the Spartacus Letter summary:

"• COVID-19 is a blood and blood vessel disease. SARS-CoV-2 infects the lining of human blood vessels, causing them to leak into the lungs.
• Current treatment protocols (e.g. invasive ventilation) are actively harmful to patients, accelerating oxidative stress and causing severe VILI (ventilator-induced lung injuries). The continued use of ventilators in the absence of any proven medical benefit constitutes mass murder.
• Existing countermeasures are inadequate to slow the spread of what is an aerosolized and potentially wastewater-borne virus and constitute a form of medical theater.
COVID-19 is not a viral pneumonia. It is a viral vascular endotheliitis and attacks the lining of blood vessels, particularly the small pulmonary alveolar capillaries, leading to endothelial cell activation and sloughing, coagulopathy, sepsis, pulmonary edema, and ARDS-like symptoms. This is a disease of the blood and blood vessels. The circulatory system. Any pneumonia that it causes is secondary to that."
Qualifying remarks:
The anonymous but footnoted letter has  conspiracy claims tacked on, sort of like a novelty frame around a licence plate.

Teslaphoresis: Nanotubes self-assemble in an electric field to make threads visible to the naked eye.

The 3 minute video clip from Rice University is wonderful to behold.   A modified Tesla generator triggers self-assembly of nanotube "powder" right before your eyes, forming threads and wires. This was reported five years ago but it's my news today!

Non-polluting, portable 1 megawatt power source: Nuclear is the anti-fragile winner.

This has been around a long time and foolishly reviled a long time.  The latest startup Radiant, is by former SpaceX engineers.  Microreactors with 1 mw output, zero emissions.   Apparently they have two new patents, one for improved heat extraction from the core and one for improved re-fueling.

"Small Nuclear Power Reactors"  have been around.  (The review is dated 2021) Some are modular, allowing plants to be built Lego-style.  Some are like the Radiant startup.  Small generally means  15 to 300 megawatts.  Radiant is redefining small to mean 1 megawatt.  The bigger "small" ones are the right size to pop into existing de-comissioned coal plant properties.  The illustration was photoshopped on purpose to show what the NuScale Power module would look like in a story carried bythe CBC in Canada.

Have you thought about this lately?

A container-sized reactor is anti-fragile while delivering reliable power in all weathers.  A network of them won't be wrecked by EMP explosions whether from space or dirty bombs.  There's no smoke.  There's no smell.  No streams are filled with guck.  Birds aren't killed when they fly past.   There are no cross-country powerlines serving these communities and no tanker trucks.     I think it increases freedom and autonomy for those communities.

Lockdown consequences: Fear was first. Anger is next

Fear was first.  Anger is next.  The Austrian psychologist is quoted on former Newfoundland premier Brian Peckford's blog:

After fear comes anger and with it the loss of solidarity, integrity and loyalty,” Werksnies said about social developments in connection with the Corona crisis. “Insecurities, aggression and mistrust are quietly and secretly becoming constant companions of our everyday life. Society breaks up into subgroups that fight each other.”

On the website keinstatus.at, she described fundamental developments using fear as a strategy. “The best strategy to make someone docile, obedient, or conformist is simply to scare them. The more fearful a person becomes, the more willing they are to do anything to get rid of the powerful emotion of fear.

"We lived submerged at the bottom of an ocean of air"
Evangelista Torricelli, born 1608.
A new viewpoint is refreshing.  This observation even sounds fresh today.

The rest of the lecture Octdber 3rd is posted here.  "Therapeutic nihilism" is the term for throwing up one's hands and saying there is nothing that can be done for the patient and it's not even worth trying.

Uncounted Lockdown Costs illustrated with a Pig Joke

What's time to a pig?

An engineer from UofT was holidaying in the Niagara Peninsula. Strolling a country lane, he saw a farmer lifting pigs one by one into the apple tree. The farmer patiently moved a porker from branch to branch and when the creature had its full, got another pig.  After watching a bit, the engineer had to call out:
“That’s so inefficient. A lot of time will be saved by shaking the apples onto the ground and letting the pigs all eat at the same time.”

The farmer replied
“What’s time to a pig?”

Holding the pig up is like elevating one disease to feast on the resources of government and media attention while leaving the other causes of poverty, ill health, sorrows and death to run around hungry in the orchard of plenty.

We're being lied to almost all the time by almost everyone with credentialed media access. "Fauci" vs Chapelle "The Closer". UPDATES

Like everybody else, Rotten Tomatoes puts its finger on the scale to deceive you and believes it's doing this for your own good.

In an earlier post I noted how the audience dismisses the Fauci documentary as bumpf while the critics crawl all over each other to proclaim their love for the man who has done more to promote fascism and fear than anyone I know alive.

This evening I watched Dave Chapelle: The Closer on Netflix.   The critics curl their lips because their idols in the LGBT and BLM worlds took offence but the audience loves plain truthful talk even when it's
gross.

Note how for Dave Chapelle, Rotten Tomatoes has suppressed the WHAT TO KNOW that summarizes critics versus audience and has supressed WHERE TO WATCH !!!
UPDATE:  You like a second opinion, right?  So try IMDB.
They faked it, boosting a 2.0 out of 10.0 rating to 5.8.
You are going to be lied to.
The question is what mitigation you can apply.

UPATES:  More fakery.  IMDB insiders up-faked Fauci audience reviews from 1.6 to 5.8. Just a reminder that Rotten Tomatoes turned off the audience rating until it was publicly embarrassed.

California made half the trucks that go to LA Port illegal!!!!! Supply chain problems = policy problems. UPDATES

The busted supply chain's poster child is the lineup of unloadable vessels at the port of Los Angeles. Half a million containers stuck in the ocean parking lot.

I've heard half-explanations:  No room to return the empties because full containers plug the docks.  Import demand is up because of Covid's extra government cash and more people with time on their hands.  Round the clock shifts can't be organized.  The 25 mile backlog of unloaded box cars in Chicago is blocking the flow.

But here's the kicker:
New California emission standards have made it illegal for half the trucks that normally service the port to even enter the state!!!!
These rules kicked in just before Christmas last year.  Only trucks 3 years old or less are currently qualifying.   Loads from the port have to be re-loaded past the state line for the rest of the truck fleet to get to work.   How come we don't hear about it?  It makes the management of the great state of California look like idiots.

What do idiots do to fix the problem.  More of the same shit that created the problem.

UPDATE:  Heading to round-the-clock scheduling doesn't fix the supply chain unless every link between the port and the end user goes to the same schedule.  Otherwise, the undelivered bottleneck just moves east one link.
UPDATE:   Virtuous California legislators are focing truck owner operators to be classified as employees. That triggers costs and restrictions.
Both updates from this story at Red State.   And here: Shutting down the Gig economy shuts out the owner operator independent truck drivers who like it that way.

UPDATES:  $4000 USD is the median course cost to get credentialed as a truck driver in California.

UPDATES: Oct 23:   The Long Beach port had a rule: Containers can only be stacked two high.  For 90 days they are relaxing the rule to allow four high.   The two-high rule was to avoid looking unsighly to the neighbors.

UPDATES:  Nov 2  Here's what a trucker sees.  Things will be getting worse before they get better.

Find out the names of any plant or animal and get free help too. iNaturalist app

I first downloaded the iNaturalist app for help naming plants on Vancouver Island where I had recently moved. My first discovery is that these apps have come an amazing long way with excellent suggestions customized for location.  To my astonishment, a few plants that I wasn't sure of attracted identity help from other botanists who were roving through unresolved i.d.'s.  Then almost by accident I took a photo of a dead bird and found it accurately named too.   Then a caterpillar!   Every living thing can be helpfully i.d.'d or at least guessed.  It's not just plants.

There's a collaboration with the California Academy of Science and National Geographic and that explains the interested volunteers who are checking out the unresolved identities and researching questions of their own.

It's a research tool, as you can tell by scanning the image attached, but you're welcome to drop in with questions because your photos improve the database.

The website lets you download the app which works on all devices.

Epidemic of the vaccinated: Covid 19 infections for Brits over 30 are mostly vaccinated Brits

The very latest numbers from Britain.  All age groups above 30 contribute more Covid-19 infections than the unvaccinated do.   This number is softened when you consider that the unvaccinated group is the smaller one.   But I call total bullship on believing Covid-19 vaccines build immunity.   A link to the data.
A link to not building immunity.

China in Canada for good strategic reasons

Canada gets a mention in French think tank report:

Chinese regime influence operations in Canada are broad and pervasive. ..
Canada is also a target because of “its all-around proximity with its chief rival the United States; its membership in key alliances such as NATO and the Five Eyes; its place in the Arctic; its image as an exemplary liberal democracy, which makes it a symbolic target; and the fact that it’s a middle power, which minimizes potential repercussions,” says the report.

At the link are summaries of interventions and intimidations I've been reading about, but aggregated here.

A bonus for BC readers:

“There are several municipal politicians in British Columbia, and in at least two provinces there are ministers of the Crown who we think are under at least the general influence of a foreign government,” said Fadden.

Polarized America: New extremes in Biden ratings.

At Trump's most reviled, he occasionally broke -20 as the difference between Strong Approvers and Strong Disapprovers.    Rasmussen keeps a running total of this using a 500 person phone survey every night and skipping those who don't feel strongly one way or the other.   Schlichter's vision of an America divided with hazards of actual bloodshed is drawing nigh.

One App to Rule Them All: Fascism 2.0 not democracy nor a republic is next.

We're awash in data wealth, information about everybody.  It's cheap and ubiquitous.  And it's getting out of control.   When the struggle for the new wealth settles on a pecking order, a governing body of the elect with a stable of well-heeled corporate satellites will deliver some services of modern society better than ever before.  There will be an app for it.

The mighty who have brokered power are faced with disrupted pecking orders and the self-proclaimed elect are clamouring to get their hands on the new wealth too.  This is bigger than the rediscovery and settlement of the Americas.     The clamour includes regulatory bureaucracies, large businesses, political parties, media stars, a myriad of interest groups within and without the governents and chiefly the enterprise we call "Government".    The winner will be the one with the ultimately superior app.   I'm betting on Government 2.0, a refashioned system of governance that exploits Big Data and can shape behaviour (for our own good) and extract money from every living citizen all the time everywhere.

You know what the good news is?  You get a free cell phone tracker.
You know what "free" means?   You're the product.
A social credit score for good behaviour about vaccinations, an acceptable BMI and a record of pro-government postings on Facebook will let you board planes, sleep in hotels, dine in restaurants, avoid having your internet speed throttled, leave your state or even just travel outside your county.    China is pointing the way.

The winner is going to fold the major corporations and media into what we used to call "government".This is called fascism.   Because it is the new fascism, Fascism 2.0 with a modern look, it will prevail for a time.     Maybe for a generation.

That governing body of the elect with a stable of well-heeled corporate satellites will deliver some services of modern society better than ever before.  The elect will include people who have been elected but also the tenured bureaucracies within governments and the credentialed everywhere who regard their milieu's views as truth.  They will  crush some freedoms that are the engine for innovation and hope.

Ladies and gentlement, I give you "One app to rule them all"

Australia: Remember the jailors went there as well as the jailed.

Remember that the jailors as well as the jailed went to Australia.
I 'm sad to say goodbye to a land that was a flag of freedom to me.
